John Thomson should feel right at home at The Lowry this Christmas

JOHN Thomson said it was an “absolute honour” to be asked to play the role of Scrooge in A Christmas Carol this festive season.

The actor, writer and comedian is also set to feel right at home this Christmas, as he was also born in Salford.

I’ve seen various incarnations of this much loved story about 12 times and I’ve never grown tired of it. Its as Christmassy as roast turkey and bad cracker jokes.
